Illustration Friday: Leap

It was with great trepidation - and wonderment - that thirty-two year old, crazy-haired, suburban Peter, finally took the big leap and stared directly into his future.

Whoa, keep those fingers crossed -Peter's a very high flyer!
This is nicely done Van Dyke. Original, with an uncomplicated style. I like it a lot.

Also, thanks so much for your comments.

Fantastic illustration. I didn't notice the crossed fingers at first, what a cool touch.
I love the colors and the way you blurred the background, it really gives it a sense of height.

Great perspective and composition, that look of both excitement and fear so clear in his eyes. Great colors too, and I like how he seems to be soaring above the landscape below.

Also, thank you so much for your very thoughtful comments on my blog, I really appreciate it!

Thank you for your commenting my illustration: Sidestepping something bad was the thing I wanted to show.

Like your illustration a lot. Especially the perspective. That view from above gives the illustration that "something".

Wow...that kinda gives me a sickly feel in my stomach due to the perspective!!! Reminds me of those 'falling dreams' where you are out of body looking down at yourself and about to take the plunge back to earth (surely I'm not the only one screwed up enough to have those dreams...)nice job...
